Smartron t.phone P with 5000mAH battery and Snapdragon 435 launched at Rs. 7,999, a Flipkart exclusive

The Indian company Smartron launched their third and most affordable smartphone which is called t.phone P after their previous mid-range srt.phone. The Smartron t.phone P is priced at Rs. 7,999 and will be sold via flash sales from January 17th, a Flipkart exclusive. It packs value for money specifications including Smartron’s exclusive features like 1000 GB of free cloud storage.

The Smartron t.phone P comes with a metal body. It sports a 5.2-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display with standard 16:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass on the top. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 (MSM8940) octa-core processor at 1.4GHz clock speed. Like other popular smartphones in this price range, the t.phone P also comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There is also a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion up to 128GB.

Instead of the latest Android 8.0 Oreo, the device runs on Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box with their own tronX UI on the top. The USP of the device is its huge 5,000mAh battery that is mentioned to give more than 2 days of usage. With the OTG support, the t.phone P can be used as a power-bank to charge other smartphones. There is a 13MP camera on the back with f/2.2 aperture and PDAF. On the front, it is equipped with a 5MP fixed focus camera with f/2.2 aperture. Both the front and rear cameras come accompanied by a LED flash for low light photography.

The device supports dual SIM dual standby and offers VoLTE and ViLTE support. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, FM Radio, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, USB OTG, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. There is also a circular fingerprint sensor placed on the back of the device. It measures 148.3 x 72.2 x 8.9 mm and weighs 160 grams.
