Samsung Galaxy Note 8 launched

After months of rumour and anticipation,Samsung launched its top-tier Note flagship phone, the Galaxy Note 8, at its unpacked event in New York City on Wednesday, The flagship smartphone features a bigger display, dual rear cameras, and Samsung’s Bixby voice assistant.

The new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 sports a 6.3-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display (resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels),looks similar to Galaxy S8 smartphone in terms of design. The company has, so far, been launching only its Exynos 8895-based  Galaxy flagship phones in India.The Qualcomm Snapdragon 835-based Galaxy Note 8 will be sold in the US. The new Samsung Note device glass and metal body and there’s curved glass design on front and back. The fingerprint scanner is on the back of the device, same as the Galaxy S8 and S8+ .

The smartphone runs the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS and carries a 6GB RAM, along with 64GB/128GB/256GB of internal storage (expandable up to 256GB), depending upon the market.powered by a 3300mAh non removable battery which comes with wireless charging support and Qualcomm 2.0 fast-charging capability. Connectivity options on the Samsung flagship include hybrid dual SIM connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C support and more. Extra features of the Note 8 include NFC & MST payments method, Iris scanner, Fingerprint scanner, Facial recognition and more.

 

 

 

The Galaxy Note 8 comes with  two 12-megapixel cameras on the back – a Dual Pixel primary wide-angel sensor with f/1.7 aperture and OIS, and a secondary telephoto lens with f/1.4 aperture and OIS. The two are complemented by an 8-megapixel autofocus front camera with f/1.7 aperture.both of which offer 2X optical zoom and up to 10X digital zoom. New photo-taking features of the Galaxy Note 8s are Live Focus, and Dual Capture, among others.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be available in Midnight Black, Orchid Grey, Maple Gold, and Deep Sea Blue colour variants. Samsung will begin the shipping for the smartphone starting September 15. expected to cost around EUR 1000 (roughly Rs. 75,400) in Europe.
