Nokia brings back the Banana Phone at MWC 2018

Soon after Nokia has relaunched its 8810 phone from the 1990s, complete with its original curved, bright yellow cover often likened to a banana.— the Banana Phone — was going to make a comeback in 2018 MWC.

The slightly curved handset has a slider that lets you answer and end calls, and HMD is creating traditional black and banana yellow versions.

The Nokia 8110  is a basic featurephone ,runs on the Smart Feature OS and you’re not going to get access to the Android apps found on other Nokia Android smartphones. However, HMD is creating an app store for the device, which will include Facebook so there’s a chance other third parties might create their own apps for this.

The 8110 will ship with LTE support across India, with dual-SIM versions available too. Inside there’s a Qualcomm 205 Mobile Platform processor, 512MB LPDDR3 of RAM, and 4GB of storage. While the banana phone relatively small with just a 2.4-inch QVGA display and a 2-megapixel camera at the rear. You’ll even get access to a revamped Snake game, and  The feature phone houses a 1500mAh battery that promises to deliver a standby time of up to 25 hours and talk time of 9.32 hours on VoLTE.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/AGPS, micro-USB 2.0, FM, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.The Nokia 8110 will be available in May for just approx Rs 6,300
