Long awaited Samsung S series phones are launched s8,s8+

Samsung have finally launched their flagships for this year the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+. In the event the specifications of the flagships have been made official, but the details such as price and accessories are yet to be announced at the Samsung Galaxy S8 launch event.

The all-new Galaxy S series smartphones, the S8 and S8+ feature 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch bezel-less super AMOLED curved display which is called “Infinity Display” by Samsung; the two smartphones have display resolution of 2960×1440 pixel, and 18.5:9 aspect ratio with the pressure-sensitive panel. The display is protected by Corning’s latest Gorilla Glass 5. Samsung’s iconic ‘Home button’ is now placed under the Infinity Display. The phones will be available as a single SIM and dual SIM depending on the market

Now comes to the internals, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ have 4GB of RAM, 64 GB of internal storage (storage can be expanded up to 256GB via micro SD cards), Android 7.0 Nougat os, a 12 MP primary camera with dual-pixel AF, 8 MP secondary camera, and IP68 certification for water and dust-resistance. The bigger model will have a 3500mAh battery, while its smaller sibling will be powered by a 3000mAh battery. Both are powered by an octa-core chipset made on the 10nm process either Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 or Samsung’s own Exynos 8895.

This phones come with Samsung’s new AI based virtual assistant “Bixby” besides google assistant. And also there is a new feature in this phone called “DEX”, which is like Microsoft’s Continuum; it transforms the phone into a pc when connected to a bigger display and mouse-keyboard via a dock.
